Euro Curve takes a look at the latest international hockey headlines.

– According to website slapshot.ch, The Swiss Hockey Online Hockey Magazine, HC Lugano of the Swiss Nationalliga has signed former New Jersey Devil Dan Lacouture. The Hyannis, MA native has struggled to find a permament home in the National Hockey league and has spent the better part of the last 9 years or so up and down between the NHL and AHL. Lacouture’s best season was in 2001’02 with the Pittsburgh Penguins when he scored 6 goals and 11 assists in 82 games. The website also reports that HC Lugano is interested in signing UFA Forward Jeff Friesen. Friesen was not offered a contract this past summer after playing in 72 games for the Calgary Flames in 2006’07.
