End of Manitoba Moose 2022-23 Season media availability with Arvid Holm

Jets goalie prospect Arvid Holm (2017 6th) completed his second full season here in Manitoba with the Moose as he went from being a backup to Mikhail Berdin during the 2021-22 season to a tandem role with netminder Oskari Salminen. He played 35 games in the regular season winning 18 games, losing 11 with four overtime losses. He had a 2.67 GAA and a .911 save% during the regular season.

He got a chance to go up to the NHL earlier in the year to act as a backup for top Jets netminder Connor Hellebuyck and then again during playoffs for Winnipeg when David Rittich was left dealing with a lower-body injury so Holm had the chance to backup Hellebuyck in two playoff games.

He discussed his year as a whole, improvements in his game from the start of the season to the end, what he learned when he was up with the NHL club, being part of the Whiteout, his summer plans and his over development.

Some notable quotes:

On the bench or in stands the Winnipeg Whiteout is quite an experience:

“I was up in the stands in the first game and that was pretty much just as cool as being on the bench to be honest with you. It was unreal. The fans in this city is crazy.”

On being around Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck:

“It was real cool experience for sure. Just seeing him during the games, how he prepares and all of that. Kind of talking to him too in the intermissions about certain situations. He’s a real helpful guy. He wants to see other guys succeed too and kinda get that trickle effect on the organization is the feeling I get. So it was massive. I think in a few years when you look back at that I think that’ll be a great experience for sure.”
