After Jeff Malott earned himself an NHL contract with the Jets following his 2020-21 campaign with the Moose, which was his first as as pro, he followed it up with another excellent season leading Manitoba in goals (23) and points until he was taken over by Mikey Eyssimont during the final weekend of the regular season. However in addition to career high in goals he also did that with assists (18) and points (41) in 62 games with Manitoba.
He also made his NHL debut with the Jets in a game against the Hawks in Chicago.
