The Simpsons line “That’s it back to Winnipeg” was clearly the thinking for Jets draft pick C.J. Suess who was selected way back in the 2014 draft.
He had left for the San Jose organization during the 2022-23 season (he got into one game with the Sharks) and then chose to return to Manitoba on a two-year deal with the Moose which he signed last July.
Much like the team he had a slow start with his old club but eventually got things going in the right direction scoring 10 goals and adding 10 assists in 68 games for the Moose. The Minnesotan did play his 200th game wearing antlers in his career.
He spoke after the season concluded about the campaign overall, growth he saw from the young Jets prospects, how his season went and seeing Lambert/Chibrikov make their NHL debuts.
