Elliotte Friedman on The Jeff Marek Show says Winnipeg Jets have had contact with Andrew Brunette

On today’s Jeff Marek Show the topics of the Lightning assistant coaches came up in a discussion between Marek and Elliotte Friedman. Before we get to the Jets related news Friedman did say that he thought Boston was down to “I think Quinn and Montgomery are definitely in there. Those are the names I’m kinda focusing on right now, not to say there isn’t anyone else involved, but I think those are the two names, I think that a lot of people are focusing on.”

He connected the Wings to the Lightning assistant coaches.

And concluded with talk about the Jets.

“And Winnipeg I’m still trying to figure out. I do think that Winnipeg, I don’t know if expanded their search, but I know they at least made contact with Brunette, and we’ll try to figure out if the Tampa guys are involved here at all either.”

Doesn’t seem like there is anything imminent here in Winnipeg.
