Quotes:

His initial thoughts: “My family and I have found Winnipeg nice and we are very happy to stay here and sign this.  Thanks to Chipper and the Jets Chevy.  They’ve been good to me the whole time.  Never really crossed my mind to go anywhere.  I’m excited to be a Jet. ”

On what the last few days have been like: “Talking to my agent way too much”

On what makes him want to stay: “We’ve got a good group of guys.  Watching the process of everyone is coming up, who is in the organization now, what we got coming.  I believe in what they are trying to do around here.  You can’t win a Stanley Cup overnight.  It’s a process and I feel like they are in the right state.”

On whether guys will expect dinner:  “Ya, I told them I’d buy them McDonalds.”  (laughs).
