From Dan Wood of the Orange County Register:
The Ducks also announced that they have extended qualifying offers to right wing Corey Perry and minor-leaguers Drew Miller, Geoff Platt, Jason King and Stephen Dixon. Each stands to become a restricted free agent Tuesday.
Unable to sign him until then because of salary cap-related issues, the Ducks plan to try to reach a deal with Perry as soon as possible after free-agency season begins Tuesday. Perry led the Ducks with 29 goals last season.

The Ducks will do everything in their power to keep Corey Perry. The youngster is on his way to becoming a 40 goal scorer and if he were to get an offer-sheet, I don’t suspect the Ducks would walk. He is the core of their team and I expect him to agree to a 4 to 5 year deal within the next two weeks.
