Dreger Report: Winnipeg Jets finalizing agreement for Rick Bowness to being next head coach

Talk about out of left field. TSN insider Darren Dreger reporting that the Jets have a third head coach:

The Winnipeg Jets and veteran coach Rick Bowness are working on finalizing his agreement to be the next coach of the Jets. This will end a thorough interview process for the @NHLJets that began with Barry Trotz as the target. Experience a key factor here.

He played for the original Jets 1.0 and also coached them.

This would make him the third coach in Jets 2.0 history after Paul Maurice and Claude Noel.
