From Rich Hammond of the L.A. Daily News:

The Kings have signed defenseman Drew Doughty, the No. 2 pick in June’s entry draft, to a standard three-year entry-level contract. The bigger money comes from potential bonuses that also count against the salary cap.

Read the entire entry from Inside the Kings here.

Doughty is about as ready as an eighteen year old can possibly be to crack a NHL roster.  If he proves he can play at a high enough level during training camp and the exhibition season, the young rearguard could very well start the season in SoCal.
