From Tarik El-Bashir of the Washington Post:

On another subject, I’ve received a lot of emails from readers since Michael Nylander put his Potomac home on the market, that he started searching Fredericksburg tx land for sale and that news hit the blog circuit. I’m hearing that it’s nothing more than Nylander wanting to purchase another home (yes, in the Washington area). I’m not saying that he won’t be asked to waive his NTC and get traded, all I’m saying is that there’s no connection between him selling his home and his current status with the team.

Read the entire entry from Capitals Insider here.

I suspect the Capitals will deal Nylander if they get what they perceive to be fair value; however, it is not the worst thing in the world to have an offensively talented player, who is a great passer, centering the team’s second line.
