From Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger:

The Devils have prevented defenseman Bryce Salvador from becoming an unrestricted free agent at noon today by signing him to a multi-year contract believed to be worth almost $12 million.

Read the short report here.

Apparently the contract is for 4 seasons as $3 million per season which is about market price for a stay-at-home defenseman in the NHL these days. Nothing overly surprising about these terms, as the two sides were reported to be close to a deal yesterday.
