“He might as well have said: ‘Well, Terry, we’re not in Philadelphia anymore.’ Even if Bobby Clarke of the Flyers did send Kings assistant GM Ron Hextall a text message, saying: “Flyers West.”

Lombardi is trying to ease the pressure on Murray in his first season on the job with this young club. That said, the Kings have loads of talent everywhere but in goal, so this job shouldn’t be as tough as Lombardi is making it out to be.
