Scheifele to Connor on an OT 2 on 1 and the sizable contingent of Jets fans headed onto Broadway in a celebratory mood as the Jets win 4-3 to pick up two more points for their standings bank. With the win they improve to 48-24-6 on the season which is just the second time this team has achieved 48 wins.

Notable:
With his playing in game 528 this evening, Kyle Connor moves into a tie with Dustin Byfuglien for 7th on the Jets All-Time games played list.
Second straight season Gabriel Vilardi gets to the 20 goal plateau and this season he did it in 2o fewer games than he did last season with the Kings as he tied the game with a beauty power play goal.
With the secondary assist on the opening goal of the game for Winnipeg, Josh Morrissey moved past Andrew Ladd into sole possession of 10th on the All-Time points list for the Jets/Thrashers organization with 306. He pushes former captain Andrew Ladd out of the top 10.
Dylan DeMelo got to the 30 point mark for the first time in his career as he got his third goal of the season to give the Jets a 3-1 lead which is how period 1 would end and with shots relatively even at 14-11 in favour of the home team.
That shot edge would continue in a big way for the Preds as they outshot the Jets 22-5 in the 2nd period and if not for the heroics of Connor Hellebuyck the score is very likely in favour of Nashville but he turned aside all the shots he faced that period.
The shooting gallery continued into the final frame as Nashville needing at least a point to clinch a playoff spot continued to fire away at Connor Hellebuyck and the Jets. Eventually they’d score twice in the final frame to tie the game 3-3 and send it to extra time. They outshot Winnipeg that period 12-4 for a three period total of 48-20.
In the end the man who has more game-winning goals than any other player in Jets history picks up the 52nd of his career to give Winnipeg a 4-3 OT win as Kyle Connor finishes off a nice give and go with Mark Scheifele to seal the deal for the visitors.
With the victory the Jets assure themselves a 3rd place finish, at minimum, and it allows them to stay close to the Avs who also won this evening.
