“The story’s over. He’s going to play in Russia,” Holland said. “We’re waiting on the terms (of the salary arbitration case) he has to (honor) if and when he returns to the NHL.”

This story broke earlier on Sportsnet, with the opposite being reported.  However, this now clarifies the issue.  Hudler is gone to the KHL and the Wings have a big hole to fill now that his offense will be missing from the lineup.  I think most would agree that he was seen as a very good replacement for much of Marian Hossa’s offense.
