Cole Perfetti wearing a regular jersey at Winnipeg Jets morning skate in San Jose

Before the Jets left for their six-game west coast road trip, head coach Scott Arniel spoke about his pair of injured players in yellow, non-contact jerseys: Cole Perfetti and Dylan Samberg.

He essentially said they need to progress to the next phase—regular jerseys—before he can discuss their status.

Guess that day is today as the team’s social media account tweeted as follows:

Perfetti hasn’t played a game yet this season after suffering a lower-body injury in the final game of the pre-season and suffering an injury that was labelled week-to-week in early October.

We’ll have to wait for Arniel’s comments after the skate, but this appears to be a positive step toward getting the top-six winger back into the lineup during the road trip.
