The Jets will be getting a major boost tonight in Anaheim. Head coach Scott Arniel confirmed after the morning skate that Cole Perfetti is set to make his regular-season debut.
When Arniel spoke about Perfetti’s return, he indicated, “Woke up this morning, felt good and obviously to have a player like that, guy that’s been here. Adds another offensive element for us, both on the power play, 5 on 5, so good to have him back.”

Perfetti’s lower-body injury occurred during the final exhibition game in early October. Late in the second period, he went to finish a check and left the game with a lower-body issue. The following day, the team announced he would be considered week-to-week.
He returned to the ice on October 20, skating with Adam Lowry and Dylan Samberg. By the end of the month, he was wearing a non-contact jersey, and two days ago, he switched to a regular uniform. Now, he’s ready to play his first game of the season.
Perfetti’s return should provide a welcome boost for a Jets team in need of more goal scoring.
