On May 31, 2011 True North Sports & Entertainment officially announced their purchase of the Atlanta Thrashers. Sports Radio 1290 went live all day from Tavern United next to the MTS Centre, the home of Winnipeg’s then currently unnamed NHL franchise.

The Illegal Curve Hockey Show aired that night to recap the day’s events, take calls, and speculate on the future, Richard, Drew, Ezra and Remis were on the mic, while the crowd chanted Go Jets Go all night. Relive the moment with this edition of the Classic Illegal Curve Hockey Show.
