Chris Thorburn becomes the all time franchise games played leader

Tonight Chris Thorburn played in game number 595 for the Thrashers/Jets franchise which moves him one game ahead of Ilya Kovalchuk into sole possession of most games played for this combined franchise.  He has been with the team since 2007 when he was acquired from the Penguins organization for a 2007 3rd round pick (which Pittsburgh used to select Robert Bortuzzo).

In the 595 games with the team he has 45 goals and 67 assists for 112 points.  This season he has five goals and two assists in 31 games this season.

Working hard on a daily basis to provide the latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news for our readers and listeners. I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
