CapFriendly Report: Winnipeg Jets sign RFA Jeff Malott to two-year contract

Jeff Malott has had a big impact in his two seasons with the Manitoba Moose and last year saw the Ontario product play in his first NHL game. According to the folks at CapFriendly he has been signed by Winnipeg to a two-year deal that looks like this:

2 year / 2-way contract
$762,500 AAV

2022-23: $750k / $125k
2023-24: $775k / $175k

Good value for a player that could make an impact at the NHL and does make a big impact at the AHL level. In his first season as a pro he had 14 goals in 34 games while last year he had 23 goals in 62 contests for Manitoba becoming quite the inner slot threat.

Check out his end of season media availability following the conclusion of the Moose season back in April.
