This just in from Tsn.ca: “The Boston Bruins have agreed to terms with winger Michael Ryder on a three-year deal at $4 million per season. “.

Here is a link to the article, posted by Tsn.ca’s staff at 10:02 p.m. (ET) **** Fluto Shinzawa has confirmed the Michael Ryder signing on Bruins Blog found at http://www.boston.com/sports/hockey/bruins/extras/bruins_blog/2008/07/ryder_signed.html.

Michael Ryder’s time has been numbered in Montreal since early last season and now, the Bonavista, NL native has a new home. Remember, Ryder was rumoured to be heading out west to the Calgary Flames last season but the deal apparently fell apart. I really like this move. Ryder is a gifted goal scorer who unfortunately got a bad reputation playing on the highly talented Habs. Ryder’s numbers dipped badly last year (31 points) no doubt, but he was benched on numerous occasions by Coach Guy Carbonneau. It will be nice for Ryder to get a fresh start with a young Bruins team. Expect Ryder’s totals to return to the 55-60 point range next season.

For Illegal Curve, I’m Ezra Ginsburg.
