Bruins clinch playoff spot; Drew Stafford pick goes from 6th to 5th rounder

When the Jets traded Drew Stafford to the Boston Bruins for a conditional 6th rounder, the conditions were that if Boston clinched a playoff spot and Stafford plays 50% of their games (he played 16 of 17) then that 6th round pick became a 5th rounder in 2018.  Tonight Boston did just that (Stafford ironically had the game winner) which means the draft pick is now a 5th rounder.  If Boston wins a round in the playoffs that 5th rounder could become a 4th.

Stafford with the Bruins has three goals and three assists in 16 games which as I said included the game winner tonight which propelled Boston into the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
