Jets prospect Brendan Lemieux plays a rough and tumble game and got into a few skirmishes during the Young Stars tournament in B.C. Today at training camp Jets assistant coach Jamie Kompon spoke about the prospect who wasn’t on the ice at the MTS IcePlex indicating that Lemieux would be out week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
It is a shame as Lemieux was seen as one of those young guns who could be pushing for a spot in the Jets bottom six. Last year he was released back to his junior club when the Jets dropped down from 43 to 27 players.
The filings are strategic and can be settled until the hearing begins as per Friedman.
