After six long months, the Mats Sundin saga is finally over as the unrestricted free agent has agreed to a contract with the Vancouver Canucks.

Huge move for the Canucks.  This takes them from the middle of the Western Conference pack to arguably the 3rd slot behind San Jose and Detroit. Adding Sundin allows the team to have two scoring lines and a tremendous checking line.  Considering the team’s strong and tough defense, if Roberto Luongo comes back healthy, no one will want to play this team come playoff time.
