TSN is reporting that Montreal Canadiens coach Guy Carbonneau has been fired. General Manager Bob Gainey is thought to be taking over behind the bench.

It has been a tumultuous season in Montreal, especially given the 100th Anniversary celebrations. Still, I am a little surprised that they made the move at this late date.
