Breaking News: Andrew Ladd traded to the Chicago Blackhawks

Well there you go Jets fans. It’s done. The captain is heading back to Chicago.

Dreger is reporting that it is for Mark Dano, a 1st round pick and a conditional pick(2018 3rd rounder if Hawks win Cup).  Heading with Ladd to the windy city will be Jay Harrison and Matt Fraser, both of whom have been playing with the Manitoba Moose this season.  Dreger saying that the Jets will retain 36% of Ladd’s salary.

This also means that Jets fans will get to salute their former (weird typing that) captain as the Blackahwks come to town twice more this season (March 18th and April 1st).
