Bob McKenzie | Nikolaj Ehlers agent says there’s no guarantee his client will make a decision today; it’s quite likely to carry over to tomorrow

When NHL Free Agency opened at 11 AM there was some thought that things might be happening fairly quickly but then some insiders were reporting there could be a delay as the NHL was going to be cracking down on tampering. Hard to believe a complicated NHL deal would get negotiated in minutes so they felt it could delay the start of any announcements.

Folks who are wondering what might be happening with Nikolaj Ehlers and where he might end up may have to wait according to Bob McKenzie of TSN.

“Nik Ehlers’ Swiss-based agent Andre Rufener is obviously fielding a lot of calls but says there’s no guarantee his client will make a decision today and it’s quite likely to carry over to tomorrow. Subject to change, perhaps, but that’s where things are at right now.”

So it may be a bit before you find out where 27 will be calling home for the next little while.
