From thescore.com:

“Columbus, OH (Sports Network) – The Columbus Blue Jackets signed left wing Nikita Filatov to a standard three-year entry level contract Thursday.
Filatov, just 18 years old, was the sixth overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.”

It is believed that the Blue Jackets were so high on Filatov that they were willing to deal Zherdev to the New York Rangers for a pair of defensemen. Filatov has lots of offensive potential and will get a chance to crack CBJ as early as next season.
