Billeck Report | Nino Niederreiter wants an extension in Winnipeg

The Jets are coming off a big 5-3 win over the Coyotes this afternoon in Arizona. It was a win that Nino Niederreiter played a huge role in with the third hat trick of his career.

Coincidentally we spoke about the Jets needing to extended Niederreiter on this morning’s Illegal Curve Hockey Show. Similarly Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun wrote a column this evening for his paper entitled ‘It’s time to extend Nino Niederreiter’s stay in Winnipeg’.

And then Scott dropped this nugget on Twitter:

“Nino Niederreiter’s agent is expected to be in town next week for the week. Niederreiter wants an extension in Winnipeg. We’ll see where it goes.”
