Axel Jonsson-Fjallby clears waivers; Winnipeg Jets will assign him to the Manitoba Moose

The Jets are almost 100% healthy (as much as they can be at this time of the year) as they saw the return of Mark Scheifele last night in Pittsburgh which leaves just David Gustafsson on IR (and even he is healthy enough to be practicing in a regular uniform). However with the acquisition of Sean Monahan on Friday from the Habs and removing 55 from IR the team needed to make a move to be roster compliant so they placed Axel Jonsson-Fjallby on waivers yesterday afternoon.

Jonsson-Fjallby has five points (2G 3A) in 26 games this season for Winnipeg.

It has been confirmed by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet that he has cleared waivers which means the team is free to assign him to the Moose.

Manitoba seems to have turned things around winning four of their last five games. They are back in action on Friday in Grand Rapids as they make a push for the playoffs and this addition should give them a boost.
