Another potential Winnipeg Jets target is off the board as Andrew Mangiapane signs a two-year deal with the Oilers

Another name off the board that some folks saw as a good fit potentially with the Jets as Andrew Mangiapane has signed a two-year deal with the Oilers with an AAV of 3.6 million.

He left Alberta after eight seasons in the Flames organization to join the Capitals last season where he had 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points in 81 games for a Washington team that finished 2nd overall in the NHL.

He’s heading further north to join the Oilers in their quest for a Stanley Cup and the Jets will continue to look to add some value (or potentially redouble their efforts to get Nikolaj Ehlers under contract).
