The Hockey News:  NHL’s 5 least improved teams.  No big splashes from True North has the Jets ranked 5th on this list.  How do you view the Jets moves?  Is this spot appropriate?  Thumbs up or down?

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets add restricted free agent Festerling.  More depth at the D position for the Jets and St. John’s.

Sporting News:  Teemu Selanne’s decision critical for Anaheim.  While not exactly a Jets story, anytime the Finnish Flash is mentioned we think it’s note worthy.  Especially considering his decision will impact the importance of the December 17th contest between the Ducks and the Jets.

Around the NHL:

AHL.com:  Capitals sign Micflikier.  Good to hear that the Winnipeg born Micflikier was signed by a team that could be competing for the Cup (in either the AHL or NHL).

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:  Sullivan sings Pens’ praises.  I’ve always liked his game and hopefully the 37 year old gets a chance to play for Lord Stanley’s Cup.

CBS Sports:  Devils still without a coach:  what’s the holdup?  Perhaps Lou himself is gonna jump back behind the bench.
