• Team USA wins gold with Canada West and Canada East taking silver and bronze and the World Junior A Challenge. This breaks Canada West’s two year winning streak.
  • Greatest Hockey Legends has a ton of stuff, including links, regarding the upcoming Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Nice to see Glenn Anderson finally get inducted.
  • Captain Kirk to sing the anthem in Montreal? Having heard excerpts from his album, I am not so sure this is a good idea.
  • A little bit of history about the Abbott Cup and its namesake, Hick Abbott. Interesting story, especially with Remembrance Day tomorrow.
  • In a sure sign that some stars are aligned somewhere, the Regina Pats and Moose Jaw Warriors have made a trade. Whoa. Next thing you know the Oilers and Flames will make a deal, or my in-laws will vote Republican.
  • Mike Emrick is to receive the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award. Nice to see him get some credit. Excellent at what he does.
  • 3 more KHL’ers are found to have heart problems. Perhaps some good can come out of the Cherepanov affair.
