Afternoon Delight: Ring Those Phones

  • Two University of North Dakota players (Washington and Toronto prospects, respectively) were cited for disorderly conduct for throwing items, including dishes, into the street in Grand Forks, ND. A little more on the issue from Puck Daddy. Who throws lawn mowers?
  • Buffalo Sabres fans offer up their top 5 Harry Neale-isms. His habit of trying to accurately measure the distance of shots always grated on me a little bit.
  • A little more tongue-in-cheek humour from Hockey Outsiders, again at the expense of the Maple Leafs. Poor Knuckles.
  • John Kreiser of NHL.com lists the Eastern Conference players who may find themselves on the hot seat this winter. Also found at NHL.com, video of the Stars’ Ice Girls auditions. Ice girl limbo!
  • The Ciskie Blog comments on John Moore spurning Colorado College for Kitchener of the OHL. You had to know this one was coming. Kitchener has been after Moore for some time.
  • The Dallas Stars blog offers some summer reading, including a story on the highly touted Seth Jones, a bantam player from Dallas. This kid is supposed to be the real deal, and as a bonus his dad is a former NBA star.
  • Triple Deke lists his All-Quebec Detroit Red Wings team. Looks like a decent club!
