• Eric Duhatschek muses on the LA Kings and their imminent resurgence. I always had a soft spot for the Kings, and its nice to see them poised to take the next step.
  • Jiri Hudler may be obliged to play in Detroit this season, after all, due to his filing for salary arbitration. Interesting comments from the IIHF.
  • An update from Battle of California, noting that the Kings have invited Slovakian Jurajj Mikus to camp. His point totals are impressive, even for the Slovakian league.
  • Psycho Lady Hockey offers up the hockey dictionary. Pretty amusing stuff and I encourage you to check out this blog.
  • I came across a link to this gem on a website devoted to Wisconsin Badger hockey. Give it a read. Some easy reading to give you a laugh on Friday afternoon.
  • Infrequent IC contributor Amanda Kosior gets a shout on Tampa Bay Exposed, where the writer is taking offense to hockey cheerleaders. I can see both sides of this argument, but really, the cheerleaders aren’t hurting anyone. If you don’t like them, they are easily ignored. I am still a purist when it comes to games, and long for the days of organ music for entertainment, but if the cheerleaders help sell tickets, they are here to stay.
  • The Manitoba Moose have won several more AHL awards, including the top executive nod for GM Craig Heisinger. Well deserved award. The organization is hard-working, top to bottom.
