Afternoon Delight: Junior Hockey Time

  • The New York Times offers its weekly Junior Hockey Report. I always like checking out this update. Succinct little recap of the week in Junior Hockey.
  • Ryan Kennedy of the Hockey News gives us their weekly Hot List, featuring a plethora of prospects from around the hockey world. Note the inclusion of Prospect Pulse alum Louis Leblanc, who went cold last weekend.
  • The Weekly Release from the United States Hockey League.
  • The World of Junior Hockey has the release featuring the players of the week from each of the leagues comprising the CHL. Also check out the website for an update on how the USNTDP fared this past weekend.
  • Keeping with the CHL theme, Taking Note is reporting that the Portland Winter Hawks have been sold.
  • The Slap Shot blog from the Regina Leader-Post has the results of the writers poll of the top teams in the WHL. Good to see the Saskatoon Blades make a resurgence. They had been a weak sister for too long.
  • Goon’s World has a link to the USCHO poll of the top NCAA hockey teams, which that blog feels is more accurate than the INCH poll. Thanks to Eric at Goon’s World for filling us in on the pecking order of college hockey polls.
