As alluded to by Richard in the morning papers, TSN is reporting that the Senators have called a news conference where it is expected they will announce the Alfredsson extension. Good deal for the Sens.
The Blueland Blog says that Zach Bogosian’s injury is actually a fractured fibula, and he will be out indefinitely. Bad bews for the Thrashers. We wish Bogosian a speedy recovery.

Eric Gwinn of the Chicago Tribune offers up a guide for new Blackhawk fans. A pretty good guide to the basics, but a shame that a once proud hockey town had to resort to this.
Ryan Kennedy, who does an excellent job writing about prospects, profiles the hockey program at Notre Dame in Wilcox, SK. Its an excellent program that puts a competitive product on the ice despite using players that are often much younger than the average SJHL’er.
Mike Toth writes that the Toronto Marlies offer some good hockey for a good price. Its too bad the Marlies don’t draw more fans.
