The Hockey News:  Rumour roundup – Trent Hunter.  Jets are mentioned almost as an afterthought as a team that could be interested in his services this season.

The Hockey News:  Lucky No. 13?  They don’t think that the new Jets team in the Peg’ will be pushing anybody around just yet.  What do you think?

Around the NHL:

Globe and Mail:  Success keeps coming for Toews.  The Winnipeg born Toews is just a solid player who deserves all the success he has achieved through his hard work and excellent work ethic.

St. Louis Today:  Will the Blues be sold by start of season?  Consensus seems to be that a deal will get done before the season gets underway in October.

Yahoo Sports:  3-on-3 overtime at NHL research and development camp.  Looks interesting.  What are your thoughts?

The Hockey News:  Top 10 former NHLers on Twitter.  Gotta imagine that JR is a worthwhile guy to follow if you’re looking to be entertained.

Sportsnet:  Calling out the Capitals.  Some of his comments don’t seem too bad, but this one won’t sit well:

Bradley did go on to mention one player in particular, Alexander Semin, who he said has the skills to be one of the top players in the NHL but doesn’t always show up, doesn’t care and Bradley got the sense that Semin wants to be back in Russia.

Philadelphia Sports Daily:  Not so fast on Byrzgalov goalie mask.  Not a huge fan of this design but perhaps he has an affinity to tigers.

CBC:  Tugnutt hired as Canadian goalie coach.  I remember his NHL playing days in the blue and white of the Nordiques.
