The Thrashers are probably not going to sell out their home opener tomorrow. It is a shame. Even though their team is going to be bad, it’s the home opener and a chance to watch Ilya Kovalchuk and Zach Bogosian in person.

The Canucks extended Alex Edler today for four more years. No word yet on the terms but good move by Mike Gillis and his staff. Edler is good positionally, strong on the puck and is a very adept puck-mover. There is little not to like about the youngster’s game.
