Afternoon Blog Links: Not needing momentum heading into the Playoffs, Mike Modano discusses his future, Jason Arnott returns tonight, Shootout pros and cons,

I continue my Saturday ownership of the site and provide you the reader with some interesting links (at least I think they are) from around the web;

  • Momentum and the Stanley Cup.  Wow really interesting read.  If that’s the case the Canes might want to cool it down.
  • For all you Canes fans a cool contest over at Canes CountryFree tickets to a game, why not?
  • Dallas Stars morning notes: Mike Modano talks about his future.  One of the smoothest skaters ever in the NHL.  Hope he returns and gets to go out in the Playoffs.
  • The Junior Report: Top Teams Show Their Strengths.  Go Wheat Kings.
  • Pre-game discussion of the importance of the Habs beating the Leafs tonight.  Why don’t we ever see girls like this at the hockey game?
  • Jason Arnott makes his return for Nashville tonight vs. Columbus.  Couldn’t be at a better time with their team sitting in 9th.
  • Islanders are going young as 5 callups will be in the lineup tonight.  Good to get them some NHL exp.
  • Easy there with the shootout PR, NHL.com.  Very interesting piece and couldn’t agree more.
  • Revisiting the Stempniak trade.  Appears to be helping the Blues as they fight for a playoff spot.
  • Best. Shirt. Ever.  Well maybe if your a Pens fan

Working hard on a daily basis to provide the latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news for our readers and listeners. I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
