When you think back to the 1992-1993 season for the Winnipeg Jets it was memorable for so many different reasons but the night of March 2nd, 1993 in particular stands out. The Quebec Nordiques came to the city to play at the old Winnipeg Arena and rookie sensation Teemu Selanne scored goals 52, 53 and 54 which was the memorable puck flip up and over Nords goalie Stephane Fiset (off a Tie Domi flip pass) which snapped the rookie goal scoring record of 53 set by Mike Bossy back in 1977-78.
One dedicated fan of the Finnish Flash took this moment as something they wished to memorialize forever enlisting Winnipeg based artist Jesse Fisekci who created this fantastic tribute in the form of a tattoo. Jesse let me know that it took six hours of actual tattooing.
