A number of Winnipeg Jets hit the ice despite it being an off day

Jets head coach Rick Bowness gave his team Wednesday off even though today was already a scheduled day off as he wanted to give the guys an opportunity to have a “mental and physical break” during this time before resuming their schedule with a practice on Friday.

While I was at Moose practice this morning at hockey for all centre I noticed that the Jets were skating despite it being an off day. In total 10 players plus practice goalie Jason Kasdorf hit the ice to get their legs moving with skills coach Dave Cameron.

Those ten were: Kyle Connor, Dylan DeMelo, Dominic Toninato, Gabriel Vilardi, Logan Stanley, David Gustafsson, Rasmus Kupari, Adam Lowry, Brenden Dillon & Axel Jonsson-Fjallby.

Looks like players wanted to stay sharp with a skate.

The team will hit the ice for an official practice tomorrow at 11 AM CST at hockey for all centre before they take off for Ottawa where they will begin a three-game road trip which gets underway on Saturday afternoon. Be sure to join us after that game on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.
