The Jets started training camp back on Friday, September 18th with 55 players. After a series of cuts and assignments to the Manitoba Moose (including today’s signing of Thomas Raffl) we have finally hit the 23 man roster limit mandated by the NHL.
While fans won’t see veteran players like Jim Slater, Michael Frolik and Lee Stempniak on the team there are a number of young prospects who have filled their roles including:
2014 1st round pick Nikolaj Ehlers
2014 4th round pick Andrew Copp
2013 2nd round pick Nicolas Petan
The complete list is as follows:
Forwards (13):
Andrew Ladd, Bryan Little, Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, Mathieu Perreault, Drew Stafford, Alexander Burmistrov, Chris Thorburn, Andrew Copp, Adam Lowry, Anthony Peluso, Nikolaj Ehlers, Nic Petan.
Defencemen (8):
Dustin Byfuglien, Tyler Myers, Tobias Enstrom, Mark Stuart, Jacob Trouba, Ben Chiarot, Paul Postma, Adam Pardy.
Goalies (2):
Ondrej Pavelec, Michael Hutchinson.
