On today’s released episode of 32 Thoughts Podcast, Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman were doing their usual twirl around the NHL and of course the topic of the Jets came up.
Marek asked Friedman about all the balls in the air for the Flames and the counter was the Jets are right in there with them leading up to the draft.
Friedman started with Winnipeg.
“First of all for Winnipeg I think with Dubois I think the next few days he’s going to narrow it down to like two or three teams. I mean we’re really going to get into this I think. Winnipeg’s gotta know by the Draft and I think he recognizes that. So that’s one thing. The other thing too with Wheeler, I understand that everyone is kinda on the same page with this. He understands that he’s either getting traded or he’s bought out and I think they’re just working together like ‘what’s the best solution?’. I think both sides realize it’s time to move on and I think they’re working together to find the best way to do it. It’s going to be one or it’s going to be the other.”
Dubois narrowing it to two or three teams is new as it was previously five to six. The Wheeler news isn’t really new news.
