Audio Description:
It was a busy weekend for trades in the NHL. Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman spent quite a bit of time going around the NHL. They spoke about the Jets current tailspin, the acquisition of Nino Niederreiter, interest in Timo Meier. Friedman did say “he wouldn’t be surprised if this was it” but then went on to say he expects Kevin Cheveldayoff to look at the defence and then mentioned the Flames and if they fall out, whether Winnipeg looks at one of their guys with a year left on their deal.
Update:
Friedman subsequently tweeted out this:
“If there’s one thing I want back from this pod, it’s the Jets. I still think they’ve got things on the go. We will see. Don’t know what I was thinking.”
