From Jeff Marek of CBC:
Prospects camps are well underway, the big squads are warming up and we’re counting down the days until the opening faceoff of the 2008-09 NHL season.
Let’s have a look at the players on each team who has a question mark attached to his name.
Anaheim: Brendan Morrison. After a couple of injury plagued years in Vancouver, Morrison is reunited with his former GM Brian Burke in Anaheim on a one year contract that will pay him $2.75 million. Morrison is expected to fill the second-line centre void and balance out the scoring on the Ducks. Many think he’s on the decline in his career. This season will demonstrate how much quality hockey Morrison has left in him.
Also keep an eye on…Corey Perry. Big contract, big pressure on the Ducks’ first line. Needs to score between 35-40 this year. Perry has the skills to do it.
