2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Winnipeg Jets vs St. Louis Blues pre-game 3 report

Can the Jets take a 3-0 commanding series lead or will the Blues be able to cut their deficit to 2-1? That’s the burning question that won’t be answered until much later this evening as Winnipeg and St. Louis meet in game 3 at Enterprise Center in Missouri.

Yesterday at practice in Winnipeg defenceman Dylan DeMelo was the only regular who didn’t skate although head coach Scott Arniel told us afterwards that it was a maintenance day. For the Blues on Wednesday we learned via Jeremy Rutherford who covers the Blues for The Athletic that Robert Thomas didn’t skate but similar to DeMelo was stated to be for maintenance as per St. Louis head coach Jim Montgomery.

They have been tight, exciting games in this series so far and you can expect that pace to continue into game 3.

Skate news:

Winger Gabriel Vilardi remains in a non-contact uniform as per radio colour analyst Mitchel Clinton.

Warm-up news:

No Dylan DeMelo for the Jets as per Murat Ates of The Athletic so Colin Miller draws in.
