2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Winnipeg Jets vs Dallas Stars pre-game 2 report

Most of the Jets and I believe all of the Stars stayed off the ice on Thursday as they got themselves ready for tonight’s Game 2 in Winnipeg of the best of seven series which Dallas currently leads 1-0.

Both the home team and the visitors have a question mark on the backend. For the Jets we shall see if Josh Morrissey is ready to return after having another good skate according to his head coach Scott Arniel. Meanwhile the Stars are without top pairing Dman Miro Heiskanen who has been out of their lineup since January 28th. They skate at 12 noon so we shall have to wait and see if he’s ready to return or not.

Morning skate news:

Josh Morrissey paired back with Dylan DeMelo while Haydn Fleury is skating with Colin Miller. Those appears to be the changes for today. Forward lines remain consistent.

44 was also QB’ing the top power play.

Lineup news:

Jets coach Scott Arniel on Josh Morrissey said “probably” when asked if he was playing tonight. Stars coach Pete DeBoer confirmed that Miro Heiskanen won’t be a player tonight.
