2009 ESPY Awards – Best Play Award

Decided to watch the 2009 ESPY awards tonight hoping to see hockey get a little love from ESPN.  Aside from some good Samuel L. Jackson humor, I guess it should come as no surprise that the NHL didn’t come out a big winner this evening.

So dear IC reader, did Alex Ovechkin get robbed?  Should he have won for Best Play?

Additionally the Pittsburgh Penguins lost the Best Team award to the Los Angeles Lakers.  The other teams in the category were, Connecticut Women’s Basketball, North Carolina Men’s Basketball, Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Steelers.
