Note II:  The NHL said on Wednesday that they will be postponing the scouting combine, awards and draft due to COVID-19.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets, Bombers open to changes on season-ticket renewals.  (Paywall).  Part of evolving to the new reality is that sports teams across the board will have to really give some thought on how they proceed in such an uncertain environment.

Sportsnet: 31 Thoughts. The Athletic Winnipeg:  Ken Wiebe and Murat Ates of The Athletic Winnipeg hosted a Jets Q&A.  (Paywall – 90 days of free access).  You had questions and the local dynamic duo for The Athletic had answers.

The Athletic Winnipeg: The Boarding PassJets play by play voice Dennis Beyak joined Murat and Ken to catch up on what he is doing during the pause in the NHL season due to the Covid-19 outbreak.  The guys discuss the article written by Ken, that looks at what Jets players could be vulnerable when the expansion draft happens to welcome Seattle into the NHL.  Plus, Dennis offers his experience working on past Memorial Cup’s in light of the Canadian Hockey League’s decision to cancel this years tournament in Kelowna. Dennis provides hope that the NHL will indeed return this summer, completing the regular season ahead of a late summer drive to the Stanley Cup. We hope he is right!  Ken and Murat wrap up the podcast with a tease on their inaugural Manitoba Hall of Fame feature, which highlights 10 individuals to start, including Corey Koskie, Jennifer Botterill, Desiree Scott, Jonathan Toews and more.
