Note II: Tune in for a fun three hours of The Illegal Curve Hockey Show on Saturday as we recap the Jets 2018-19 season on TSN 1290 Winnipeg starting at 9 am. We will be breaking down the season, giving grades for players/coaches/management/ special teams and we will look at some of the potential issues for this team moving forward. The last hour of the show we will be taking your calls (204-780-1290) so if you’ve got something Jets related to discuss feel free to give us a call and chime in.
Winnipeg Free Press: Say What? Lyons and Wiecek certainly don’t hold back in this back and forth chat about the Jets and they don’t pull any punches at the folks wearing letters on this team.
Illegal Curve: A look at the UFAs and RFAs for the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose this spring. GM Kevin Cheveldayoff and his staff are going to have a busy spring and summer with 26 players who will be without a contract for next season as of July 1st.
The Athletic Winnipeg: A look at which Jets could stay and which could go this summer. (Paywall). Cannot help but think of the song by The Clash ‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’ with that headline. Murat takes a look at which players may or may not be wearing the Jets logo next season.
Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun joined Andrew Paterson and Rick Ralph on the Afternoon Ride. They recapped the Jets series loss to St. Louis and the off-season ahead for GM Kevin Cheveldayoff.
I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on TSN 1290 Winnipeg starting at 9 am.
And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Bell MTS Place to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
